All fresh products purchased from Hagood Homestead are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Please read carefully the following terms and conditions, they constitute a binding agreement between you and Hagood Homestead. By accessing the website or by using any of its services, you signify your acceptance to these terms and conditions.
PRICES
All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your exact design and the size of your order. Prices are subject to change based on supply costs (eggs, milk, sugar, etc.)
Following an inquiry, a quote is valid for 30 days. We cannot guarantee an order and time slot until a deposit has been paid. If more than 24 hours has elapsed since the quote has been issued, please check availability before you place the order so as not to be disappointed.

INGREDIENTS AND SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
All of our ingredients are high quality and freshly prepared without the use of any preservatives. Product ingredients can include eggs, flour, cocoa, sugar, milk, and butter. Note: if a color other than natural buttercream is requested there will be food color additives in the buttercream. If you require more information about color additives when considering placing an order please contact us to discuss.

ALLERGIES
Please be aware that Hagood Homestead is a home bakery that currently opperates under Virginia Cottage Food Laws and is not state inspected. Although ingredients such as nuts and other allergens may not be in the products, they are still used in our kitchen, so we cannot guarantee that any of our baked goods are allergen free. If you chose to place an order this will be at your own risk. We do not produce dairy free products. Gluten free products are available upon request.
Professional Food Colors are used in Hagood Homestead baked goods which vary from product to product depending on the color choices made. The food color manufacturers state that various allergens are used in the factories producing the products and therefore cannot
guarantee they are allergen free.

BEST BEFORE DATE / STORAGE CONDITIONS
Your order is baked and packaged to ensure they are fresh for the date of your event, We cannot guarantee its quality if it’s consumed more than 24 hours after the event. Our baked goods are made entirely of natural ingredients, so they do not have the extended shelf life of most supermarket cakes, which contain additives and preservatives to ensure their prolonged life.
Your baked goods need to be kept at room temperature in a cool dry room and must not be refrigerated unless otherwise instructed. Hagood Homestead will not be held liable if items are not consumed during the recommended time frame or are stored in an incorrect manner. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the storage conditions are adhered to.

NON-EDIBLE ITEMS
Some cookies and cupcakes contain inedible items. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure these are removed before consumption e.g. ribbons, cardboard, popsickle sticks, cello wrapper, etc.

NOTICE FOR ORDERS
To avoid disappointment please give as much notice as possible for your order.
However, we will accept short notice orders subject to availability.
Each product is unique and made individually by hand, so although every effort is made to ensure consistency, small variations may occur from the color and design requested.

DEPOSITS AND BALANCE OF PAYMENTS
A non-refundable deposit (total value of the product and full delivery price if applicable) is required to secure your order and chosen date with Hagood Homestead. This deposit will allow Hagood Homestead to begin sourcing goods for your order (special cookie cutters, edible images, ribbon, etc). Collection times will be agreed with Hagood Homestead and is dependent on time slot availability on the date.
Once an order has been placed the deposit needs to be paid within 72 hours if not,
We reserve the right to cancel your order.
Hagood Homestead retains the right to cancel the booking in exceptional circumstances beyond their control such as fire, equipment failure or ill health. During such times,
a full refund of any monies paid will be made as soon as possible.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any changes in design, date and collection time are at the discretion of Hagood Homestead and may not always be possible.

COLLECTION AND DELIVERY
Orders can only be collected from a prearranged place, time, and date. The collection place, time, and date will be confirmed with you on placement of your booking. Areas serviced are Spotsylvania, Stafford, Fredericksburg and surrounding areas in Virginia. Any areas outside this servicing area will be considered and subject to a delivery fee. Shipping of cookies is available for an additional fee.
We do not ship cupcakes.

Delivery charges are an additional fee dependent of time and distance to the venue. It is your duty to inspect the product upon collection/delivery to ensure that the order is complete and that the goods have not been damaged in transit if we make the delivery. You are required to enter full and accurate details for delivery including the name, address and zip code. We will not be responsible for any orders which are not delivered due to incorrect or incomplete information being supplied by you.
If there is no one there to receive the delivery at the agreed delivery date and time, then it will be deemed a ‘Failed Delivery’. The item/s will be returned to Hagood Homestead and you will be responsible for collecting the items from the bakery in Spotsylvania, Virginia.
We are unable to refund the order cost or delivery charges for failed deliveries.
